Coolest part about it, was I saw A LOT of my old friends from highschool that I lost touch with. They were happy to see me alive, and NOT married. after the not married question I got the "omg can I have your number?"
LOL. I'm glad I brought my business cards, makes me feel important. Plus I gave like 10 away to friends and employees of gamestop.

Lots of people dressed up like splicers and such. It was a cool night.

XBOX LIVE, Skull Candy- Low Riders

So I've been having some trouble on xbox live. I have two original mics and both BROKE so around xmas time I was thrilled to get the Skull Candy Low rider headset.

So lets break it down.
Xbox live is where smack talking, game communication, and friendly chat takes place. Especially for me, a gamer girl with a popular youtube channel and is quickly gaining momentum.

So hearing people is the MOST important this for me when it comes to headphones.

I get fans who want to talk to me, I get hit up in party chat whenever I bounce on... that's why I generally pay off live when I need to make a review. (which is most of the time)

My original one-eared live mic worked fine. What I liked about the original one was the fact that the voices were channeled directly to your ears and it was wireless from the system, only connected to the controller for power.

They were simple, but the biggest con was they looked and felt like I was working a gaming drive-thru.
Then they broke in september (2 sets... I played Gears of war2 probably too much) and I was micless.

I got the Skull Candy lowriders and was completely thrilled to have a chance to talk with my live friends again.

I noticed my excitement fading rather quickly when I started to use them.
Pros and Con's breakdown time.

Pros:
-The headset covers both ears, are very comfortable to wear, and stereo sounds decent.
-They have one of the sexiest headset designs I've ever seen.

Cons:
-It has to be powered by USB, meaning you have to PLUG IT INTO your SYSTEM. Talk about a pain in the ass, I've learned to HATE wires since the new gen of consoles have come out. So annoying, it limits how far away you can sit from your screen.

-It doesn't put the players voices directly into your ears. In fact, the ONLY way to hear them in your head set is if you plug in a splitter cable into the 360 jacks to only hear LOUD ass game play and meek little voices which are utterly incoherent.

-The headset doesn't get very loud, which is GREAT if you have kids and don't want tthem to blow up their eardrums like I already have... but holy crap Its hard enough to hear the game, and I can't really hear the players at all.

So I was trying my best to figure out a way to hear my XBL besties.
I had to turn down the game and sound effects to the BARE min, and I STILL couldn't hear my friends speak clearly or loud enough at all.

Listening to them through the TV didn't help either. It was all meshed in with gameplay and I couldn't hear anything.

I know, I don't have the best hearing. After all I've been raving for the past 7 years so I already know my ears are pretty screwed up.

Plus I work at a resturant and work drve-thru which really messes up your ears too.

No matter how much I LOVE Skully Candy (which believe me they are by far my FAVORITE company as far as quality headphones go), I can't tell you enough how much I despise this headset.

Why are there so many cables?
Why can't I hear live chat directly into my ear, why does it have to be meshed in with gameplay sounds?

I love the look of them enough to use them in videos becasue they look nice as a prop, but dear GOD I need to find a decent wireless headset that lets me freaking HEAR.

Yes, I'm a little upset that I wasted 50 bucks.
I just wished my old headsets worked so I could at least play on live again without going CRAZY!

Its been one of those times for me right now.

Somehow, out of all the stress and despair I went through, my moment is at my finger tips. A video making career! In the gaming industy? Maybe.

I learned the secrets to self marketing and I'm about to make myself VIRAL.
Who knew? A girl that never went to film school or took any hands on film classes, actually being as good as the pros.

I've been living a lot of the moments I've always wanted to you guys.
I went to CES, met my internet stars like Philip DeFranco and iJustine.

But what, I'm not quite sure.

I've been interviewing people in the gaming industry.
Making video collabs, and hell even learned some new video editing tricks.

Hollywood, that's a tough crowd. But... the gaming industry, that's one of the most fun places to go. Everyone I've met has been exstatic about games, I'm not the only one crazy enough to voulenteer for this gig either. in fact the most passionate people who land the big money jobs, started out just like me.

I have plans for the Game Meets Girl show.

The things I've been striving for since I was 16 are finally making it. I knew getting out of my Ravergirl shell would be good for me. I love glowsticking with ALL my heart, but this is the first time I've had a passion that kept me up late at night to the "wii" moments of the morning just eager to read comments, hear the voice of the internet, and just be plain excited for the future.

I think being single has been an amazing experience for me.
It may have broken my heart but it lit a flame in my SOUL. I now realize and have learned from the hardships and stress of moving out with someone that reality sucks. Nothing is as good as it seems. So EMBRACE what you have. Never regret the past, becasue history is a lot to be learned from.

It forms who you are. I honestly believe all the crappiness that happens in one's live molds them into a better person. It gives them a better understanding of how the world works.

I'm seeing people around me, skyrocket into success, and I know I'm right behind them.
For once I feel like I've done the right things, worked the best way possible and have finally found my path to happiness.

So to be humble, before I get to my goal... I gotta let you guys know... if it weren't for the little people, I wouldn't have the inspiration/ drive that I have right now.

You guys have ALL supported me in ways I could NEVER IMAGINE!
Every word of advice has sunk in. I get better and stronger with each video.
This is what I've been striving for, and this is what I've recieved.

Thanks to 3KB, MikenCheese, Gamesonsmash, Tha-Truth MVP, my best friend Matt, Blade, Esko, sandman, and Philip DeFranco and my best GIRL FRIEND... Shelly.... for my chance. My shot. and having the courage to believe in such a passionate soul.

Man its hard to imagine, At the start of Septemeber, and about a week before that... I was crying myself to sleep every night. So unhappy with my life, and how I felt STUCK. I could feel myself falling into a depression, so angry, so upset with life. I felt like I was at rock bottom.

I thought the nobody really cared about me, and felt my work was worthless.

Because nobody looked at my stuff, or cared what I did really.

I really turned myself around though, even though financially I'm the worst I've EVER been. I'm more happy now than when I had savings in my account.

Who needs boys when you have a passion for LIFE AGAIN?

I know a lot of you guys don't even read my blog. But I felt the need to thank you guys. So, I'll tweet this.

Lets layout the premiese and story shall we? or should I say, shall I?

Kristen plays portal SOOO much she gets put into a mental hospital.
She thinks she is Chell. Doesn't even respond to her own name.

She's locked up in a white room. A doctor comes to check in on her.
Doctor places a box on the ground. "Your friends gave me all these things in this box to help you rememeber who you are, please Kristen look through it. Maybe you'll rememeber who you are."

Doctor feels its useless to communicate and leaves.

When the doctor leaves, she starts to hallocinate.
The box looks like the compainon cube, and memories arise. GLaDoS voice starts to control her.

*breaks into dancing*
Thus where I'd need the green screen to make it look like I'm in the game.

At the end, Doctor comes back to see the box is kicked to the corner of he room and Kristen is utterly terrifyed of it huddled in the opposite corner.

... I need a green screen, so many ideas!

L4D 2
Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2
Uncharted 2: Among Theives
Assassins creed 2
Batman: Arkham Asylum

But what game will win? What game in my opinion deserves to win?

I know in my heart which game I fell for.

Uncharted 2 was perhaps the first game since Final Fantasy X that I couldn't put down. I gave it a perfect score for a reason. Everything fell into place for me for that game.

Modern warfare and Assassins Creed just freaking came out. I don't think that's far for the nominations at all.

Why not games that have been out longer? One gamers can still be addicted to even after its newness is gone?

Left 4 Dead, what happened to the boycott? After all part two came out less than a year after.

But I know what's gonna happen. Its gonna be a GTA story. The multiplatformer will win. After all MW 2 broke records in sales.

But does a regergatated game deserve it? Not really.

But you know its gonna win.

Money talks,
I won't deny
I heard it once

I remember reading that in a poetry book a few years back. Despite how meaningless it should be in your life it has everything to do with it.

Is money diectly proportial to happiness? I don't believe that at all. But it causes me the most unhappiness and stress that's for sure.

My bank keeps calling me persistantly, on my house phone, cell phone...Everyday. I don't get paid until thursday and I know that whole check it going into my bank and I'm stuck for another two weeks. Broke as ever.

I feel so lifeless. I can't go out and have a life even if I wanted too. Hell I can't even go out and review the next big game. Modern warfare 2.

I hate you money, I hate you economy. I hate being "stuck".

I've been contemplating things in life lately.

Do you believe in fate? Or does that thought terrify you?
Are you where you are in life for a reason? Are you stuck at the dead end job for a purpose?

Do you believe in God? Or a god, or any higher power? Or are you Atheist?

Either way, life seems to be terrible for everyone, and its all because of money.
Welcome to the second great depression. Just in modern times. People losing jobs, homes, and hope.

I'm 23 years old and I've alreaady acumulated a decent debt. Having your bank call you saying your car payment is two months late is a wake up call. But now a days, It just seems to happen.

So instead of being sad, depressed, and utterly horrible I try to think of it as an oppurtunity.

To rise above what you've been given. Everything I have is a blessing. A family, a place to live... and a car... well for now. I have a smile attached to my face at work and inside I may be crying. I thought my life would have been so much different than how it is now.

In high school I believed I'd have a career by now. I'd be investing in something more. Hell I had serious reltionships where I believed I'd get married...twice. Yet I never did. I have no kids, I have no rings, and at the moment I don't even have a significant other.

But I'm still here. Smiling, and belieiving that something is meant to happen to me. Did God put me here to spread happiness? Am I here to prove that no matter what happens in life you can still display your megawatt smile?

I don't make enough money to float really, and I can see myself resorting to selling things I really care about in the future if I can't get my foot in the door. I don't ever want to sell my camera, or my car... but I might not have a choice soon.

I know my job sucks, its not a dream job or even something ANYONE would want to do in life.

No kid tells their parents "when I grow up I want to work at El pollo loco/ any fast food resturant" because even when your little you are smart enough to realize how much it sucks.

I keep searching online, for video/ editing jobs. They all require degrees or some sort of certificate... I would love to go to school, but its so much money. Plus I've seen some stuff from those grads that don't really stand out. Not everyone has the passion for the tedious tasks of digital video production. But I do, I know I have a passion that shines. I just need to keep pushing and polishing my skills. I know I'll get noticed, if not I will MAKE myself noticed, if I keep my faith.

C'mon faith, don't let me down.

Created a new theme, created new elements. I am trying to connect with my audience more, I want to make a matching blog, but freaking artisteer hasn't converted to blogger. I use wordpress for GOS and I don't like it nearly as much as I like blogger.

If I have to I'll switch, its not like I have a lot of followers on this blog anyways.

Yup my first official media interview... YOU GOT IT?!

I got a chance to talk with Morgan Gray about Capcom's new project called Dark Void.
Looks like a pretty intense game, I got a chance to play it. Imagine a full on third person shooter like uncharted, but then having the ability to launch into the air and have controls like an ace combat game. Its a pretty cool concept.

so I spent, like all day playing infamous All day, forcing myself to eat... or else I'd probably not eat.
ITS LIKE CRACK.

Its an amazing game, with a really fun story.
Think of what people where trying to make with Assasin's creed. Think shooting system like Uncharted, and think of being an eletrified super hero trying to save your city before it engulfs itself.

I've grown a lot over the years.

Its been a long time since I made one of these. Figured I'd put it up and show other clips of videos I've made in the past a lot of you may not have known about.

Talk about making your own experience.
Majority of videos I make, are usually things of my own creation. Skits, reviews, blogs, I even have my cousins act for me sometimes.

I get my paid gigs occasionally and I'm always for hire.
I've done weddings, promo videos, demo reels, and a few music videos for fun.

its not like they had a bad concept. But all they even show is her kills. If you saw the real gameplay, its pretty much it. Its not as cool as you think it COULD be.
